Disfellowship and the jackson

firstly, letoya jackson is on big brother uk and shes was talking about how micheal was meant to shun her when she left the jw's.

i was just reading up on which jackson are still in the cult and it appears their mum is but she has not been disfellowshipped for still talking to her kids because she has a lot of money is this true?.

also, what happens if a husband and wife are jw's and one of them leaves, does the husband then shun the wife etc?.

My Monday date

we both fell a bit in love with each other and saw each other on tue night again.

Give it a few days. I know if I was not in a relationship for a while I would find it hard to get into another one too fast. Like the other poster said if you do not hear from him after a few days, contact him. He might be afraid and thinking you don't want to hear from him. I lost a guy this way. The guy actually lost my contact info. I let it go, found someone else. Time later I find out that he was interested in me, but because I was with someone else we couldn't get back together.

I hope it works out for you.

Hey, I just realized something!

the price of a gallon of gas is back down to around 2 bucks -- less than that, even, if you don't get premium.. so, with that "hardship to brothers" at least temporarily lessened, does that mean the weekly one-hour book study in private homes is back on again?.

I'm with you on that one, Im sick today, but I should not care about my health and go out door to door. Oh wait, I have to learn to be JW first. I'll get on that one right away. lol

On the subject of gas. I think that was just a summer fluke because that is when people do most of their traveling. The state(s) took advantage of that, then noticed that it was harming the economy and wanted people to travel (spend money) so they lower it. It's slowly raising again, but not as fast as it did last summer. But we will wait and see.

I honestly do not see that gas was the reason. It takes fuel sources to print the magazines too. What about all the electricity they have to use to do those 3 day long assemblies? The time people have to take from work, that money is a loss too. I can go on with my random thoughts, but I will spare you for now.

Jw's and funerals

when a jw dies and there is a funeral or memorial for them, just how much of that person is 'remembered" or talked about?

do they just have a funeral service for them, or do they turn the memorial into a wt study?

I hope I can find a scan of that so that when my friend does return back from the funeral I can compare with him what went down. In my opinion, based on what I have seen and researched, I don't think that people actually see that their loved one is not really talked about much at all because they are sadden by the loss and not really paying attention anyway.

I know when I die I would like to be remembered more than my name and birthdate and death and the few things I did. I want people to be able to speak and tell what they remember about me, what made them laugh, what made them cry. I want them to talk about that trip we went on and all the stupid things I did. I dont' want them to hear why death is more important than life or that there is the resurrection hope. We all know why good people die, we don't need to hear that. I know when the times come Jesus will come for me and that there is consciousness after death, not unconscious as they teach.

I want, I want, my death will be all about me. I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED!

So they get cremated, so no living person can visit their "final resting spot" No later generation or family or friends will ever know or be able to see the grave. Maybe it is cheaper, but that still is sad. Unless that is what the person wanted themselves.

And as for a brief intro and that is all? That is sick and sad. I've gone to many funerals (normal ones) and all they talk is about the person, their life and what they were all about. Church didn't even come up.

It's just sad that JW's are not recognized once they are gone. I've gone to one JW funeral and honestly I do not remember what happend. I really do not remember how much of the person was said. As I am older now and able to understand what is going I am curious as to what goes on behind those doors.
